The whole set of articles is a good scholarly work, presented for everyman.
I have the Sears 1902 and the Montgomery Ward 1894-95 replica catalogs. The articles for me, has put life to those catalogs.
For any period writers, the articles are a gold mine.
Six hours ago, I went looking for an @1880 can opener. And opened a can of knowledge.
